I'm getting the back of my hand tattooed in a few days. i'm wondering how painful it will be.?

i'm working into tattoo number 11. for a long time, i thought that the one on my hip hurt the most, until the other day when i got my ankle tatted. holy crap! that hurt like a... you know. anyway, my bf has his hands tatted and says it hurts a lot. i'm just wondering if anyone else out there has the back of their hands tattooed and can give me a realistic pain expectancy. i'm not looking for anyone to reprimand me on my choices, or tell me that i won't be able to find a job. i'm in the army and plan on being in for a long time. we're allowed to do this.
