What would you do....?!?!?
if you can prove that you embled the crib as instructed by a manual, then you could get compensation (if your baby was injured) because the manufacturer produced a faulty item. Argos are not at fault. this is because of the donaughe v stephenson (1920 something) case, which set a precedent that the manufacturer has a duty of care to the people who receive the product. there was half a snail in a womans drink and she won her case against the manufacturer, not the store from which she bought it. so if you went to court today, it would be the same sort of decision, providing the manufacturer was negligent and this resulted in damages (scratches might be enough since he's an infant) to yourself, partner or baby.
