Help with Music for a Project?

I have a history project which we have to make a slideshow and play an accompanying son for. The slideshow is about civilian deaths from the atomic bombs and the iraq war. This song would ideally be slow paced, sad, and relate in some way to civilian casualties, the need for us to do better, or should subtly protest the iraq war/atomic bomb use.
