Can I sue my dad for abandoning the home?

My dad left the house 2 days ago without a saying good-bye, or a note. One morning while we were all at work, he packed his things and left to another country. We found out when he found a receipt with the airfare, we called that country and we confirmed that he will be living there with another woman. He's left a debt of $30,000 also he shared the mortgage with my mom, which means if he doesn't pay off his debt they might confie the house...they also had expenses they were both paying off, like their cars, now he's left and we want to sue him, do we have a case?
