What would it be like today if the Confederate States of America would have won the war?

Better than I could ever answer your question is Harry Turtledove, a top novelist, who wrote "The Guns Of The South." In it, he depicted a South that _won_ the Civil War. His book was so fascinating that numerous sequels were big sellers, in which he traced the history of the two nations that were the result of the war -- the North being one and the South the other. If you have any interest in this idea at all, do yourself a favor and hunt up a copy of The Guns Of The South. Quite likely to be in your community library, or you could obtain it from my favorite low-cost old-book-finding-company, Alibris.com. Enjoy!
