MEN i want & need ur advice & opinions please!!!?

okay so there's this guy I like. we've hung out a few times at a mutual friend's house. he's always smiling at me & picks with me & what not. when he left one night he hugged me randomly and it was a pretty firm hug that lasted longer than necessary for just a friend hug. our mutual friend told me he thinks he likes me because he noticed him being attentive towards me.. the guy gave me his number because we were supposed to go play disc golf the next day but every time I text him he never answers... this was about a little over a week ago... he went out of town this weekend and when he got back last night he text me while he was at our mutual friend's house... the text said "where were you while we were getting high." the song by oasis... its like an inside joke, we listened to it like 50 times in one weekend at our friend's house and I guess they were smoking when he text me that being funny.. when the guy text me last night, our mutual friend sent me a text saying "answer brian's text, he doesn't know I'm texting you." .. but one of my other friends works with him at a restaurant and he said that he was talking about me to this guy and the guy out of nowhere told him I think breeze likes me but I don't see her in that way... my friend even thought it was weird that he came out of the blue and said that to him... but yet I can't figure out why he would text me randomly after he got back in town, especially since he wouldn't return any of my texts from earlier that week... I just want a guy's point of view to see why you think he would text me and what you think it means...do you think maybe this guy might like me or something? I don't know how guys work, maybe he changed his mind or something? maybe he said that to my friend to see if my friend would tell him yeah breeze does like you? idk, give me your opinions & your advice please! thanks guys!
